The first look of Margot Robbie’s film, based on the iconic doll Barbie is out. On Wednesday, at the CinemaCon event, in Las Vegas, Warner Bros. released the first look of Margot as Barbie, along with the release date.Â
Under the production at Leavesden Studios, Barbie will release on July 21, 2023, in theatres. The Australian beauty, Margot will play the role of Barbie in the upcoming film of the same name.

 Warner Bros. Pictures used Twitter for the first image of the 2023 release. The picture had all the Barbie feels as Margot Robbie wore a blue-and-white striped halter neck top with a polka dot headband. She accessorized her look with a chunky bead bracelet, as her blonde hair is kept open in relaxed waves. The Harley Quinn actress sat in Barbie’s pink open-top sports car, leaning forward in her seat to rest on the windshield as she beams. Indeed, she looked like a Barbie Girl in a Barbie world!

The filming of the movie began earlier this year in London, UK. With Margot Robbie as Barbie, Oscar-winner Greta Gerwig directed the live-action film. That’s not all, the cast is star-studded such as Ryan Gosling as Ken, Kate McKinnon. Marvel superhero Simu Liu, Alexandra Shipp, America Ferrera, Hari Nef, and Will Ferrell.
According to Variety, Robbie said, it “comes with a lot of baggage and a lot of nostalgic connections. But with that comes a lot of exciting ways to attack it.” Margot continued saying, “People generally hear ‘Barbie’ and think, ‘I know what that movie is going to be.’ and then they hear that Greta Gerwig is writing and directing it, and they’re like, ‘Oh, well, maybe I don’t…,’

All the plot details and the role of the stars are under wraps. Greta will also co-write the movie’s script with Noah Baumbach. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Will plays the role of the CEO of a toy company that could be Barbie’s creator Mattel in the film.
