Demi Lovato may finally be released from hospital soon.

The Sorry Not Sorry singer, who allegedly nearly died following a drug overdose last week, could be released ‘this week’, according to TMZ.

The gossip site also reported that the 25-year-old’s entourage have threatened to quit if Demi doesn’t check herself into rehab, saying ‘She could die if she doesn’t, and that’s not going to be on my watch that we did nothing.’

The Confidence crooner has been under medical supervision for over one week.

According to TMZ, the former Disney Channel star remains at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles due to complications following her overdose which include “nausea” and “high fever”.

And Lovato is reportedly ‘too ill’ to discuss returning to rehab as she remains at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles eight days after suffering a serious opiate overdose.

The site reported that Lovato is “under the care of medical experts and is expected to make a full recovery.”

People close to the former Disney Channel starlet – who did a 2011 stint at Timberline Knolls – have ‘urged her’ to return to rehab, but she’s the one who has to decide to go, although sources told the website she is ‘too ill’ to discuss rehab.

The 25-year-old was discovered unresponsive at her home last week and had to be treated by paramedics with the emergency drug for opioid overdoses, Narcan.

The child star is currently receiving support from family, friends and ex-boyfriend of six years, actor Wilmer Valderrama, who was spotted visiting the singer late last week.

Last week her representatives said: “Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers, and support.

“Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”

The singer has a history of addiction that began when she was a teenager – she first went to rehab aged just 17.

Lovato first discussed her struggle with bipolar disorder, addiction, an eating disorder, and self-harm in 2010. Three years later she released the book Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year, and in 2017 she produced a YouTube documentary about her life and career, titled Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated.

In June Lovato posted a new song to YouTube, Sober, that revealed that she had relapsed for the first time in six years.

It looks like the singer is still very sorry for how much pain she has caused her family members by relapsing and then even overdosing. As you may be aware, she did open about her guilt before, in her song titled Sober.

But the good part of all that is that she is willing to get help if not for herself, for the sake of her worried loved ones.

Apparently, she has already promised everyone she will do whatever it takes for such a scary thing to never happen again.

One insider told Fillgapnews that: ‘Demi has been apologetic to her parents and family about her relapse and overdose. She feels horrible. Her overdose was a mistake, and she didn’t intend to take too much of anything. The last thing she wanted was this, to end up in the hospital, worrying everyone who loves and cares about her.’

Everything Demi is allegedly feeling makes a lot of sense considering how serious the situation is.

Reportedly, she almost died! Still, the star is still not out of the woods.

The same source shared with the outlet that ‘She is still recovering. It will be a very long, painful and difficult road for her as she continues to get the toxic chemicals leave her system. She’s already begun to make promises about getting more professional help. She feels demoralized after her embarrassing ordeal and never wants to feel this way again.’

Her decision of going back to rehab comes just after her close ones reportedly warned Demi that if she does not get help, they’d rather cut her out of their lives than witness her destroying her life.
