Bad Bunny New Cast of Marvel

Marvel Cinematics has cast Bad Bunny as El Muerto in the first Latin superhero live-action film. The Grammy Award-winning artist will play the role of El Muerto, a masked Mexican wrestler who has inherited superhuman strength from his powerful ancestors.

 

On Monday at CinemaCon announced his casting in Las Vegas. Bad Bunny made a surprise appearance at CinemaCon, during the announcement. He told the CinemaCon crowd present, It’s amazing. It’s incredible. I love wrestling. I grew up watching it, and now I’m a wrestler.” “El Muerto” will hit the theaters on January 12, 2024.

Marvel has not yet released any trailer for El Muerto. Since no director has been hired to direct the film and production has not started. Fans can see the first teaser for the film after the shooting starts. 

 Bad Bunny has appeared in the third season of “Narcos: Mexico” and in the action thriller “Bullet Train,” also starring Brad Pitt.

Superhero EL Muerto

Sony shows that Bad Bunny aka El Muerto, a Marvel Comics character who has a history with Spider-Man.

In the comics, Sanchez is a young boy who was trained by his father to become the next member of his family to wear the mask of El Muerto. Once he did, he was given a wrestling mask that gives him superpowers. When he became the new El Muerto, he had to face off against another wrestler called El Dorado. After losing, El Muerto had given ten years to train for the day when he would have to face off against an unknown superhero. That day came, and El Muerto challenged Spider-Man to a match. He lost, but he teamed up with Spider-Man to beat El Dorado.

 Other new stars are joining the Marvel-Sony portfolio such as Dakota Johnson a cast in Madame Web. CinemaCon made another big announcement with the confirmation of the third installment of the Venom franchise starring Tom Hardy which will release in 2024.
