The Nokia 5.1 Plus or X5 will be available in different memory configurations including 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage option, 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and a 6GB of RAM with 64GB storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card slot.
As per a post on the Chinese website, Baidu, via GSMArena, the phone will be announced on July 11th in China. It will come in two variants – 32GB and 64GB priced at 799 Yuan which is approximately Rs 8,290 and 999 Yuan which is approximately Rs 10,360 respectively.
The leaked poster has confirmed the notched design display in the smartphone. Nokia 5.1 Plus with model number TA-1109 was earlier spotted on Chinese regulatory site, TENAA, revealing some key specifications.
As per the post on Baidu, the company might announce two other smartphones – one featuring Snapdragon 710 SoC and other with flagship Snapdragon 845 processor. The SD710 phone might be the successor of the Nokia 7 plus and will be unveiled either in Autumn or Winter. The report said it might be announced at the end of September. The other phone with Snapdragon 845 processor is expected to come with an in-display fingerprint. It is said to be launched sometime by the end of Q3, probably August.
As per earlier TENAA listing, the smartphone features a 5.86-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor. On the camera front, there is a dual-camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary and a secondary lens, which might be used to bokeh effect. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera for video calling and selfies. The phone is backed by a 3000mAh battery and on the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, GPS and dual-SIM. The phone measures 149.51 x 71.98 x 8mm and weighs 160 grams.
While the Nokia 5.1 Plus will run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, for optics, there will be a vertical dual rear camera setup having a 13-megapixel primary sensor. At the front, there could be an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Talking about the Snapdragon 845 Nokia flagship phone, the company has also been reported recently to be working on a flagship device sporting an in-display fingerprint sensor, and the mentioned Snapdragon SoC. It is expected to be called the Nokia A1 Plus, and it should also launch during IFA 2018 in September.
